Biography
Andrew Reed Garbarino is a U.S. Representative for New York's 2nd Congressional District, first elected in 2020. Born in Sayville, he graduated from George Washington University and earned his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law. Before Congress, he served in the New York State Assembly from 2013 to 2020, representing the 7th Assembly District. In the 119th Congress, he serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, a powerful leadership role overseeing cybersecurity, border security, and counterterrorism. He also sits on the Financial Services and Ethics committees. Garbarino has focused on combating fentanyl trafficking, protecting Long Island's coastline, supporting law enforcement, and addressing the migrant crisis. His district office in Patchogue serves constituents across central and south Suffolk County.
