Tom Suozzi represents New York's 3rd Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives.
Biography
Thomas Richard Suozzi is a U.S. Representative for New York's 3rd Congressional District, currently serving his fourth non-consecutive term. Born in Glen Cove, he is a graduate of Boston College and Fordham University School of Law. Suozzi served as mayor of Glen Cove from 1994 to 2001, where he earned a reputation as a fiscal reformer. He then served as Nassau County Executive from 2002 to 2009. He first won election to Congress in 2016, serving until 2023. He ran unsuccessfully for governor of New York in 2022, then won a special election in February 2024 to replace George Santos and was re-elected in November 2024. He serves on the powerful Ways and Means Committee. His priorities include lowering taxes, restoring the full SALT deduction, addressing immigration, and fighting for Long Island's middle class. His district office in Glen Cove serves northern Nassau County and parts of northwestern Suffolk County.
