Biography
Senator Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick represents the 9th Senate District in southern Nassau County, covering communities including Malverne, Valley Stream, Lynbrook, Elmont, Franklin Square, Long Beach, and the Five Towns (Lawrence, Cedarhurst, Woodmere, Hewlett, and Inwood). A native of Malverne, she was first elected to the Senate in 2022 and re-elected in 2024. A mother of four and small businesswoman, Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick previously served as a Village of Malverne trustee. In the Senate, she has been a strong advocate for public safety, cracking down on retail theft, protecting Long Island families from rising costs, and fighting to save Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC). She has worked on legislation to combat the fentanyl crisis and has led efforts to oppose MTA fare and toll increases that disproportionately impact Long Islanders.
